In India, a driving licence online, often known as a DL, is an official document required to operate a two- or four-wheeler. Its validity varies from state to state and is issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. It usually comes after completing a driving education program and gives the bearer the ability to operate any kind of vehicle. All road vehicles, including cars, two- and four-wheelers, and motorized rickshaws, must be operated by a licensed driver.
