Itinerary : 3 DAYS FROM FES TO DESERT

Day One: Fes, Ifrane, Cedar Forest, Midelt, Ziz Valley, and Merzouga.

Our three-day journey from Fes to the Sahara desert begins today as we embark for Merzouga. You’ll pass through a beautiful cedar forest and through the Middle Atlas Mountain range to the mineral-mining city of Midelt, where you’ll stop for lunch. The path continues through the beautiful Ziz valley, known for its length and diversity of palm palms. All the way down the route, there are many ksars, or little communities with individual dwellings. We next proceed to Erfoud, which is famous for its fossils and date festival. After around 7 hours of driving, you will arrive in Merzouga Sahara Desert, your last destination. Dinner and evening at a Kasbah hotel

Day 2: Tour the Erg Chebbi Dunes and meet a Nomad family.

Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning so that you may see and enjoy the most amazing sunrise of your life. After breakfast, you’ll ride a camel back to your Merzouga hotel or riad, where your driver and guide will be ready to begin your off-road adventure excursion over the sand dunes. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about Merzouga. Begin your journey through Berber communities by visiting Khamlia, often known as the “black people” area. I was served a cup of tea as I was cordially greeted and listened to their contemplative Gnawa music. Experience nomad life as they live in tents with hundreds of camels and goats while viewing the breathtaking panoramic panorama of sand dunes. Explore some abandoned mines and a palm-fringed oasis. Go back to Merzouga. You are free to roam the streets of Merzouga at your leisure.

Merzouga – Midelt – Fes, Day 3

We’ll ride a camel to a nearby hotel so you can rest up after waking up early to watch the desert dawn. After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel via Rissani and Erfoud to Midelt in the Atlas Mountains. We may have lunch there before continuing on to Fes, where our three-day desert journey concludes.
