You probably haven’t heard of the HCG injection hormone unless you have trouble having children or want to lose weight quickly. or, for that matter, the HCG diet.
The HCG “plan” comes with a supplement, like many other diets or plans for pregnant women. The HCG injection is that supplement, and you have to give it to yourself. If you’ve never given yourself an injection before, it can be scary, but don’t worry; it’s not hard to learn.
Read on if you want to know how to properly inject HCG and what it’s all about.
How does HCG work in the body?
Human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG, is a protein hormone that is made when a woman is pregnant. The hormone is what actually tells you that you’re pregnant. HCG also helps keep up the production of two other important hormones, progesterone and oestrogen, which are needed for the embryo and fetus to grow during pregnancy.
Even though HCG is called the “pregnancy hormone,” men also make small amounts of it on their own. HCG can also be given to men to treat hypogonadism, low testosterone, and low sperm count, among other things. When it’s hard for a woman to get pregnant, she might get an HCG shot to make her ovulate.
On the other hand, high levels of HCG in the blood could be a sign of several types of cancer. This would include cancers of the placenta, ovaries, and testicles.
The HCG Diet
People have used HCG injections to help with the HCG diet and to increase testosterone and fertility.
On the HCG diet, you eat 500 calories a day and get HCG shots. The goal of the diet is to speed up the metabolism and help people lose up to two pounds per day without feeling hungry.
There are three parts to the very low-fat and low-calorie diet:
- The Loading Phase: For the first two days, you eat foods that are high in fat and calories while taking HCG injections or supplements.
- The weight-loss phase: For up to six weeks, eat only 500 calories per day and take injections or supplements.
- The Maintenance Phase: Stop taking HCG and slowly eat more, but avoid sugar and starch.
During the second stage, you can only eat two meals a day. Your meals should include lean protein, vegetables, a piece of bread, and a piece of fruit, as suggested. You are also told to drink a lot of water.
How to Give an HCG Injection
Whether you’re injecting HCG to lose weight or to make you more fertile, you’ll need some practice and a lot of preparation. Most of the time, if a doctor gives you HCG, they’ll walk you through the process so you know what to do.
If you aren’t working with a doctor, you can learn how to properly inject HCG by carefully reading and following these steps.
Step 1: Get ready
Once you have everything you need, make sure to read the directions before you open anything. You don’t want to risk contamination. You may also have to mix different ingredients together before giving the shot, so be sure to read and follow the directions carefully.
Make sure to wash your hands. Wipe down each vial with an alcohol wipe to clean it (there should be one with water and another with powder). You’ll need to take off any plastic caps first so you can clean everything that will touch your skin and the product well.
The needle should already be on the end of the syringe. When you open the package for the syringe, don’t take the plastic cap off the needle until you’re ready to mix the medicine.
Step 2: Putting the medicine together
Don’t touch the needle once you’re ready to mix. If you do, you’ll need to throw it away and start a new syringe.
When you are ready, pull the plunger on the syringe back to about 1 cc or 1 ml. Just keep the plunger at this level and put the needle into the water in the vial. Pull back on the plunger to let air into the vial (this will make it easier to withdraw the water).
Now, turn the vial over, keeping the needle’s tip inside. You can go ahead and take out the right amount of water. Again, make sure you’ve carefully read the directions.
After you’ve taken out your water, you can inject the liquid into the powder vial. Make sure the needle doesn’t touch anything besides the rubber stopper. Pour the water into the vial of powder to make the mixture. Put the needle and syringe in the trash.
Step 3: Getting things done
Choose a spot for your injection site based on what you were told. Use an alcohol wipe to clean the area and let it dry.
Most of the time, intramuscular injections are given through the buttocks. It is suggested that you divide each cheek of the buttocks into four and give the shots in a different quadrant each time. Some are given at the top of the thigh as well.
Now, check to see if the medicine in the vial is mixed. Do not shake the vial. If you need to, gently shake the vial. Use an alcohol wipe again to wipe the top of the vial.
Take a new syringe out of its packaging and put the needle in the vial. Flip the bottle upside down and take out the amount of medicine you need. To get rid of any air bubbles, give the syringe a light flick or two.
Now, grab the skin around the injection site with your forefinger and thumb. Push the needle all the way into the skin quickly, like you’re throwing a dart. Before giving the shot, you should pull the plunger back a little to see if there is blood.
If there is blood in the syringe, that means you hit a blood vessel. If this is the case, you’ll need to take out the needle, throw away the syringe, and start all over again. Don’t use the same needle again.
If there is no blood, let go of the skin and push down on the plunger. Once all of the medicine has been injected, you can take out the needle and properly throw away the syringe.

If you want to try the HCG diet or think you might need a hormone boost to help your fertility, you should always talk to your doctor first.
HCG injections are very useful to increase a person’s chances of pregnancy, help produce testosterone and sperm, and treat a condition that affects the testes called cryptorchidism. If you want to use this medicine, visit our site, Fatboy Fitman.
